As the operator of the University of Georgia’s research garden, Armitage is constantly studying annuals, perennials, cut flowers, greenhouse crops, plant identification and plant use. Now you can use his plant app to do research of your own.

The well-known garden writer, speaker and researcher has published 13 books and more than 350 papers and articles. Armitage has received numerous awards and honors, including the Kiplinger Chair at The Ohio State University and the Medal of Honor from the Garden Club of America.

His accomplishments now reach smartphones through Armitage’s Greatest Perennials and Annuals for Android and iPhone users.

Armitage’s app allows users to search plants or filter searches for annuals, perennials, full-sun, shade and other categories. There are hundreds of photos and the user can scroll through all the plants for information. Have a favorite plant? Add it to your list of favorites and email it to your family or friends so they will know what to get you when your next birthday rolls around.

Of course, you can get many of these beautiful flowers and plants at Meadow View Growers, which you can also find in this useful app. Learn more and find the app on Google Play Store for Android or the iPhone App Store. There is a wealth of knowledge for only $4.99!
