History and Background

Meadow View is a family business committed to producing the finest quality flowering plants. The 39 (80,000 SF) greenhouse structures just south of New Carlisle, OH, a small rural town north of Dayton, comprises the facility used to grow the plants offered to the public and a select group of customers that purchase larger quantities on a “custom contract” basis.

The business began in the fall of 1983 when a cornfield was converted to greenhouse structures. Today Meadow View is one of the premiere horticultural businesses in the Dayton area. It is a place to purchase the highest quality and “not-so-common” varieties of annual bedding plants, perennials, vegetables & herbs, fall flowering garden mums, and poinsettias.

In the spring of 1995 the Garden Barn, a unique store for the serious and discriminating gardener, came into being to offer unique and unusual gardening related collectibles and gifts. The country store atmosphere changes with the seasons ending the year with a gathering of Christmas decorations, gift items, arrangements and all that goes with an Old Fashioned Christmas.

Meadow View specializes in unique selections, whether plants or the collection from the Garden Barn. The selection of new plants including annuals, perennials and herbs has set the company apart from other businesses in the area. The staff who  work with the plants and customers are committed to excellence. Most of the staff are avid gardeners, very knowledgeable and caring people. They enjoy sharing their expertise and genuinely helping our customers.
