SPECIAL EVENTS FOR 2013

logoStar Gazing (October 12 at dusk) - The Miami Valley Astronomical Society joined us for an evening of star gazing.

Alzheimer's_LargeSquash Out Alzheimer’s Weekend (October 12 & 13) - During the weekend of October 12-13, patrons launched small pumpkins and gourds using our GIANT SLINGSHOT into our pumpkin graveyard. Including donations collected in support of our walkers in the Walk To End Alzheimer’s, over $2100 were donated to the Miami Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association to help squash out this devastating disease.

breastCancerLogoBeat Breast Cancer Weekend (October 19 & 20) - In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, during the weekend of October 19 and 20, patrons wore pink and enjoyed special pink savings and raised $900 to benefit the American Cancer Society Southwest Regional Office of Ohio.

Cornmaze R you INSANE???

Fall Fun Days revealed a new twist this year! Geocaching, a fun and exciting kind of scavenger hunt using GPS coordinates, was included inside the MAiZE. Meadow View still offers hidden treasure year-round. Visit www.geocaching.com for more information.

Although we moved this next activity into our giant new greenhouse, attendees had a great time.

Bow Wow Ween Pet Parade & Costume Contest - Brave souls brought their furry friends dressed in their best Halloween costumes and joined in the fun! A panel of judges casts their vote for Best of Show (Dog), Best of Show (Other), Most Creative and Most Like Owner.

Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy offered digital photos after the contest. Proceeds benefited Second Harvest Food Pantry for pets.
