: Not a very popular plant/tree but still I'm keen and I can't find a commercial source in the US. If anyone has any info about where I can get it please reply to my email address or this forum. The plant itself is called blackthorn or Prunus Spinosa. Common in the UK but apparently very rare here in NJ. I make beer, applecider and liquors. Since I left the UK, I can't find sloes to make sloegin. Homemade sloegin is a real delight and has nothing to do with the retail product. Its easy to make and if you have access to wild sloes, I highly recommend trying.
