FRED: GOOD LUCK, this is not a fun thing!! It will take staying with it with tilling, roundup and other weed or vegetation killers until you are abole to weaken it to the point it will finally die. MVG Plant Dr.

RoundUp will kill bamboo. I don't even cut it or try to dig up the roots. Just let it grow until it is in full bloom then spray the foliage thoroughly on a hot humid day with no rain in the forecast. This will kill about ninety percent of the stand. Repeat the next year, this will kill about ninety percent of the ten percent that survived the first spray. Now you have about one percent of the original stand. You should be able to finish this off the third season.
