: I just planted several hearty impatients. Half I planted in the ground; these are doing excellent. The other half I planted in pots that have great drainage. The ones in the pots are rotting at the stem, and the leaves are limp and wilted. The leaves are developing white, spotted sections. The soil is new potting soil. The plants get partial sun and shade during the day. Can you give some hints on what to do?
JOSEPH: Better check your potting soil, it is suspect. Peters potting soil or Metro Mix(the commercial label) is a very good potting media. Keep the soil on the dry side, avoid over watering. MVG Plant Dr.
