: I have a Pink Dogwood Tree which I planted in my yard 4 years ago. It was purchased from a reputable nursery, and is healthy, and disease free.

However, after 4 years, the tree has not yet flowered. Do these trees take a number of years to mature before they blossom or is there something that has not happened with this particular tree ?

TOM: You are the right track, it takes a few years for blooming to be what you would like to see. Avoid fertilizing and hold back the water in drought conditions for a while. The stress will cause the tree to go into the reproductive stage rather than just growing. MVG Plant Dr.
