: i have 2 rabbit's foot ferns that are doing quite well. how do i know when they should be repotted (they are still in their original 4 inch pots from lowe's) the fuzzy "feet" are hugging the pots all around and seem pretty snug. guess i'm intimidated by not knowing how tough these guys are. when i repot how do i treat the "feet"?

You can repot them now. If the little "feet" have frowns growing off of them, you can cut them off and pot them to start another plant. They are like, or actually are, rhizomes. Be sure to keep moist. They should do fine in a good potting mix.

Good luck,
Glenn
