: I have a Yucca with 3 stems growing from a single base that has now exceeded 8ft in height. As this plant is indoors it is now squasshing itself against the ceiling. I need to know if I can trim it down without killing it and if I do cut it back will I get new leave growth from the cut stem.
IAN: You don't have much of a choice, sort of between a rock and a hard spot. You will have to cut it back because if you don't it will not be any good either. Sooooo, just cut it back and it should put out some new shoots. I have done this with many plants with good success. MVG Plant Dr.
