: Would like info on how to start bradford pears.I do have a lot of sprouts coming off of some of my trees, is it possible to start new ones from these? If not, how can I get starts for new trees or get them to root.If so, how do I go about it?

PAMRA: You are "barking up the wrong tree". These trees are budded or grafted onto rootstock that is capatible witht he Bradford Pear. The suckers or sprouts coming from the root area will not be the Bradford Pear. The suckers coming from the tree will not root. Just go to your local nurseryman and purchase another tree or two, believe me this is the only way to go.

Well, I wasn't wanting to hear that. I need 75 trees & know what just one costs.
So, just where do these little trees come from in the first place? or is it like the chicken & the egg? Thanks for your help :)
