Hello, A fellow teacher is having problems growing Hybrid Tea Roses in a flower bed located about 10 feet from where an old Walnut tree use to stand. It blew down in a wind storm last summer. My Agriculture class is testing the soil and trying to come up with a recommendation for him. So far, the soil seems to be very low, only showing trace amounts of N,P,K. How much fertilizer to roses require? Is there any way the Walnut tree could be affecting their growth, even though it isn't there anymore. Any information or additional websites I could have my students visit would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
