I have an established Rowan Tree which has been healthy for years - I noticed recently that when I shook the tree, a range of white small 'flakes' (like a soft powder) fell from the leaves of the tree - when the powder was touched I found it to actually be liquid and sticky - these flakes were no more than 1mm in size. I examined each leaf and found each leaf to have these very small flecks of stick white that would easily fall off if shook. It may be a natural thing for such a tree to have at this time of year or it may be a disease - can you suggest any reason or possibility for this ? I'd appreciate any help you could provide.
Kind regards
Al.
