Place shoot in container of water until a good root system develops. Then dig a hole in the garden and drop the shoot in. Pussywillow is a very easy plant to grow. It has a tendency to get pretty big and wide, so I keep my pruned. I have one with a trunk 2" thick and about 6 - 8 feet high. It's just enough for me and a few friends. Each spring I trim off the "pussy's" I want to dry and that usually gives the "tree" a good shaping. Good Luck.
