HI THERE!
I PLANTED SEVERAL BUTTERFLY BUSHES LAST SUMMER...
THEY DID BEAUTIFULLY1
YET-IT'S NEARLY JUNE 1ST - AND THEY SHOW NO SIGNS OF LIFE!
WHAT'S WRONG?
(I LIVE IN S.E. WISCONSIN)
ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED- THANKS!
JOLYN: Wow, I had a hard time finding your message with all the entries. It is only necessary to post the message one time. You must have been having trouble....
Anyway, it is a little early for that part of the country to be seeing butterfly bushes breaking dormancy. The ones in the landscape here in southern Ohio are just starting to grow. There is a chance that they did not make it through the winter. Ours die back to the ground every year. Be patient and see if they start to grow in 2 or 3 weeks. MVG Plant Dr.
