I live in an area where black walnut grows like wild fire. I am having trouble keeping my flowers alive around them. I understand the roots of the walnut give off some kind of poison which kills the plants.
Are there any counter measures I can take that will give my flowers a better chance at survival? the walnut trees are here to stay. Is all the soil affected even if the roots of the walnut trees have not grown out that far?
