: What am I doing wrong to my ivy houseplants? They seem to suddenly wilt w/no apparent reason-I dont't think I'm overwatering, either..?Once they begin to wilt, the leaves slowly dry,as well as the tiny vine..HELP!I live in NO.CA-it is MAY, not too hot or cold...Thanks!

LAURIE: Your problem sounds like a stem/root rot problem. The plants should be in a good soilless potting mix, kept damp and not over watered. Allow the soil to dry down occassionally. It might be a good idea to take the plants to a qualified nurseryman in your area for inspection and suggested remedy. MVG Plant Dr.
