CHRISTINE: The gardenia problem could be related to pH, try some acid type water soluble fertilizer everytime you water and only water the plant when the soil dries down. You no doubt have an iron or nitrogen deficiency. You could also apply sequestrene(iron chelate) and this would help the iron problem. Try this for a month and see what happens, let us all know.
