Are Trumpet Vines something that deer find tasty?
We have Blacktail deer that love our gardens. Also,
A band of elk that are very indescriminate in their
eating habits. We are trying to come up with some-
thing that will dress up our fence, but we don't
want to replace it every few weeks. By the way, the
deer and elk were here first. We wish them no harm.
HERSCHEL: You are fighting a tough battle. Try some of the repellents or cover the new vines with something like chicken wire over the area keeping it 6 to 8" away from the vines and let the vines grow protected until they get beyound the wire barrier and the deer and elk will enjoy them also.
