Karen, where are you located? If you are up north or in the colder climate area your callas will need to be dug up for the winter months. If you are in the south, they can stay in the ground indefinately. Mine are in the filtered shade and do very well. They love lots of water and can also be used around ponds where it is moist. They multiply quickly and when dug up if any root at all is left will come up again. They are one of my favorite flowers and very easy to grow and care for. They make excellent pot plants as well.
