: I need help with my hardy kiwi.
I have 2 male and 2 female plants that have been growing for 4 years from plants bought at local nursery.
They are growing on a trelis system that goes 8 feet up an eastern wall and the head east on an overhead trelis.
The longest branches are a total of ~ 20 ft but I have still not had a single bloom.
I have been avoiding pruning until I get atleast a bloom or 2 with the aception of removing some weak spinly branches during the early spring.
HELP!

My experience, with 1 female and 1 male kiwiplant, is that you have been avoiding pruning small branches and that you had to look very good when you see the blossoms that the male and the female are blooming the same time.
I wonder if I have to manure and to gave much water? Have I treat the kiwi like grapes?
In my country it is almost to cold to let them grow, but now I have 38 kiwifruits !!! And seems growing well.
