m them back occasionally. But they have NEVER bloomed. Is there anything I can do to stimulate the blooming? Are there any good resources/books to consult? Thanks.

Sir, I had the same problem with my wisteria, they did not start blooming until they were five years old.
Then some one said to pinch back all the new runners (top of plant) which I did.
The next summer for the first time, they started to bloom. That was two years ago, and the blooms are increasing every year
and the plant is huge. Now we just pinch back some of the runners in the spring.
We fertilize with Mircle Grow about 2 times in the summer. It is in a spot were it gets about 8hrs of sun a day.
We have had so much rain, that I haven't had to water this year.
But, normally I take the hose once a week and give it a good soak.
Young plants need watering alot, older ones, less.
I know have a mutation which I started from seed, it is a albino plant.
hope I helped you some and good luck.
