Hi Maria,
As mentioned in the earlier post; yes, there are multiple varieties of this species, and it can get a bit confusing if you're unfamiliar with them.

Steven provided a good link for the "tropical" variety hibiscus that you had requested earlier. Tropicals are very pretty indeed, however keep in mind in your area they can they can't tolerate cold. The potted tropical can be set outdoors in summer, and must be brought indoors to overwinter when temps fall below 65 degrees. So, if you want "tropical" hibiscus, stick with the info Steven provided.

If you're now considering a hibiscus that will come back next year, planted in the ground, you need to get a hardy, perennial hibiscus. Here's a site for the hardy variety, be sure to check their "links" page for further info.
