: I received two blooming Azaleas, I have been told they need soil that is high in ACID.
I am not quite sure what I should do to get this ACID, is Vinegar good to put in the soil?
Thank you.
We recently moved to colorado were the soil is alkaline. I've managed to grow an azelea by ammending the soil with ammonium sulfate, so far the shrub doubled in size since planting last May. It has also worked well with hydrangia.
