: I have a terrible problem with Quack Grass (Long tuberous root...impossible to get out!) in my vegetable garden. My garden is well established and not huge (30'x30'). Every time I till, I end up multiplying the problem. I have tried to pull it out, but it is truly impossible! I would love to find a product I could till in that would kill the weeds and grass and leave the soil uneffected for planting. I sow seeds as well as plant starts. I have about one month before I will start planting. Anyone have a miracle weed killer, or a "family secret" for my problem? I would LOVE to know it. Thanks!
I'll agree with the roundup, but one application, may not be enough. If it comes up around your veggies, you can use the ole rubber glove/with cotton jersey glove over it. Dip your fingers in roundup and sqeeze out the excess. Rub on the quack grass shoots only, and be careful about dripping it onto things you want. That is alittle more on target than a spray bottle and you don't have to worry about drift from the wind.
