: Any suggestions on how to get rid of moles. Someone suggested castor beans or castor oil mixtures. I have tried chewing gum, moth balls and the garden hose. I live near the jersey shore. Our yard is full of holes. Any help would be greatly apppreciated.
Thanks, Janet

Janet,

The best way is to trap them out. It seems like more for all the damage they do but usually there are only a few of them.

If trapping is not an option for you, the castor oil spray may be an effective option. For some one treatment will be enough. For most, repeat applications every month or two will be required. The spray is a repellent and will only be effective for the areas to which it is applied.

You can make your own or buy a ready to mix with water formulation at the nursery or garden center.

best wishes,

steven
