: : Would the Cedar, lined along the house, attrack insects such as termites or other insects. I have heard different conflicting issues. If so are there any options to correct them. Please help. Thank you.
I use cedar for my animal cages and on the bag it says it helps to keep insects away.
I've been asking around about my cedar chip question and here's what I learned from a nursery. Cedar MULCH is what you want to use to keep away ants, fleas, tics, TERMITES and many other creepy crawlies. Seems the smell puts off mosts bugs...and luckily, that includes termites. FYI. He said that cedar mulch you get from places like Wal-Mart is fine to use. It doesn't have to cost you a fortune like specialty gardening shops would charge you.
