I have 4 Sparkleberry shrubs which I bought at the end of season. I'm getting ready to place them in the yard, but I'm wondering if I need a "male" to go with them. I don't know a thing about this shrub, but seeing it with the red berries all over it last year was enough to make me buy them. But now I'm wondering - do I need a male plant for them to "make berries"?
