Sara, Too long on distilled water will cause trace element deficiencies. If you have a surface water source like pond or river water this is rather ideal in most cases. Well water is good unless the alkalinity is excessive like over 200ppm or so. Water is a facinating subject when it comes to plant growth, there are no quick and easy answers. Earl
